Hello and welcome. I thought for days about how I would start this blog and then realized I just needed to be me, which meant I needed to just wing it. My name is Janine Valentiner. My career and personal life have taken many turns but upon self-discovery I have realized that it all led up to this moment. This moment where I introduce you to Panoramic Living.
Over the past several years I have experienced and interacted with hundreds of older adults as I have worked in the senior care industry. I watched both the struggles and successes of the aging process. And I have grappled with thoughts of how our economy will meet the challenges of our aging demographic. I struggled with the fact that our nation spends more on healthcare than any other nation, but consistently our overall well-being ranks low.
I decided I needed to do my best to make a difference and first it had to start with me. Early this year I began to incorporate into my life the principles from healthy, happy, and independent centenarians around the world. These principles have been proven scientifically time and time again that lifestyle and not genetic disposition is what primarily impacts our longevity. And the good news is that longevity is not linked to any new or expensive diet fads; supplements; or exercise programs. It’s all about simplicity.
It’s about doing the things we know are right, but yet many of us have lost our way in the journey.
Thus I created Panoramic Living to inspire others to enhance their own life’s picture. Panoramic Living has five frames of focus:
- Back to Our Roots – Eating from the Earth
- Mindfulness – Living in the Moment
- Connection – Family, Friends, Community
- Walking Wisdom – Moving Naturally
- Passionate Purpose –Meaning to Life
Panoramic Living will engage individuals, small businesses, corporations, and communities through events and programs that educate, motivate, and connect with the overall goals of increasing lifespan, improving well-being, and decreasing our needs for healthcare and its associated expenses.
It’s time to Make Longevity Happen!
P.S. Thanks Mom for always shouting out “Panorama” at our family gatherings so we all knew it was time for a photo to capture the moment. You and Dad were my foundation and are my continued inspiration to understanding that connection is the key to aging successfully. Love you both!
P.P.S. Renzo, Kelcie, Nick & Kurt – Thank you for all your patience, support, and brainpower during all these crazy months of conceptual planning. You have to deal with the brunt of my excitement during times of success and failure. Sorry, but it will never be over. Love you all!
